Deputy Chief Accountant

Location: Bulgaria, Sofia

Due to our business expansion, we are looking for Deputy Chief Accountant to join our great team of professionals!

Key responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures;
  • Ensures compliance with local and international accounting legislation and standards;
  • Maintains current and correct financial documents;
  • Reviews accounting records and prepares financial statements for accuracy and compliance;
  • Compiles and submits financial statements, tax returns and other documents to government institutions;
  • Prepares reports for internal and external audits;
  • Manages reports and correspondence with government and tax authorities;
  • Coordinates and assists the accounting team in daily activities;
  • Performs the functions of Chief Accountant in his/her absence;
  • Assists in the preparation of annual financial statements, revisions and audits;
  • Assists in the preparation of strategic recommendations for improving financial management.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Accounting/Finance;
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position;
  • Skills for working with an ERP system are considered an advantage;
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of specialized accounting software.
  • English language – B1/B2
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory legislation.
  • Skills for working within deadlines in a dynamic work environment;
  • Adaptability, proactivity and result orientation;
  • Skills for teamwork and independent problem solving;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality, analytical skills, precision, high level of organization and prioritization of tasks;
  • Attention to detail.
